• White Belt Step Sparring Requirements

    THREE STEP SPARRING: (WHITE BELTS)

     

    Partners face each other in parallel ready stance.

    Attacker raises right forearm with palm outward, crosses left forearm with palm inward, moves right foot back to walking stance with left low block and yells when ready to attack.

    Defender stays in parallel ready stance, yells when ready to defend, and Attacker immediately attacks.

     

    1. ATTACKER: Three middle punches to centre of chest with walking stance.

    DEFENDER: Move right foot back to sparring stance with left inner forearm side block to inside of forearm, then right inner forearm side block with sparring stance, then left inner forearm side block with sparring stance, then slide left foot forward to walking stance with left knife hand extension push on arm and right punch to chest at same time.

     

    2. ATTACKER: Three high punches to base of nose with walking stance.

    DEFENDER: Right foot back walking stance with left knife hand high block to underside of forearm, then right, then left, then right fingertip thrust to base of throat pulling left hand back.

     

    3. ATTACKER: Three middle punches going forward with sparring stance.

    DEFENDER: Move right foot back to sparring stance with left palm inward block to the outside of forearm, then right, then left, then left side kick to flank.
